This Banana Shake is a tasty afternoon snack sure to please you and all the hungry after school / after sports loves of your life. I’ve noted ingredients options so you can have fun with it and build your own delectable shake around more ingredients you like.
I love to include macadamia nuts on the side because their salty satisfying crunch compliments the smooth sweet shake perfectly. Macadamias are fast metabolizers so you get their energetic satisfaction quickly. Count out 10 so you don’t get too much of a good thing.
2 cups banana milk (or other nut or coconut milk – get one without carageenan) If you aren’t using banana milk, add half a banana for the creamy texture and flavor
¼ cup fresh blackberries. I freeze berries for longevity. If your berries aren’t frozen add another ¼ cup ice. Any organic berries will work.
1Tbsp cacao (antioxidant rich and so chocolaty you think you are rich and spoiled)
1 Tbsp vanilla
You could also add a scoop of collagen peptides, a couple of medjool dates, or Tbsp of nut butter
Add all to blender and combine for a minute or so. Serve frothy!
